Keep it Conditioned
Just like high-quality leather, premium wood needs occasional conditioning to prevent it from drying out. We recommend a food-safe mineral oil or a specialized wood wax (like beeswax). A little goes a long way.
- Apply a small amount of oil or wax to a clean, soft cloth.
- Gently rub it into the wood, following the grain.
- Let it sit for 15-20 minutes to allow the wood to absorb what it needs.
- Buff off any excess with another clean, dry cloth.
How often? It depends on your climate. If the wood starts to look a bit dull, it's time for a refresh. For most, once every couple of months is plenty.
Cleaning Your Tray
For day-to-day cleaning, a dry microfiber cloth is all you need to wipe away loose material. If you have a more stubborn spot:
- Lightly dampen a cloth with water. Never saturate the wood or submerge your tray.
- Gently wipe the affected area.
- Immediately dry the area thoroughly with a separate dry cloth.
Crucial: Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges, as these can strip the wood's natural finish and cause damage.

This is our most ambitious project yet. We are launching a custom order programme that will allow you to collaborate directly with us to design your perfect tray.
